The Mini & Junior Section was formed in 1979 with an Under 14 and Under 16 side, since then we have grown into a full Mini & Junior Section with sides from Under 7 to Under 17.
Our philosophy is to encourage all youngsters to enjoy the game of Rugby Football whatever their background, experience or ability. We welcome and encourage involvement from all family members and try to ensure that traditional Rugby hospitality continues, as we believe that Rugby is both a physical and social game.
All coaches (most of whom are parents of youngsters playing) attend at least the minimum coaching courses provided by the North Midlands R.F.U. Many go on to more advanced courses. Most of our matches are within the North Midlands area and we try to ensure an even balance between home and away fixtures.
We have had many players representing the various County teams from Under 14 to Under 17. We are proud of our tours, which take place toward the end of the season, and we try to keep these as inexpensive as possible.
Anyone is welcome to come along and have a go, we meet on Sunday mornings between 10am and Midday, from the first Sunday in September until the last Sunday in April (older age groups may have some training during the week).
Please contact the Chairman for further details. Age groups can be difficult to understand so just turn up during the season, or contact the Chairman, you will be made to feel welcome and introduced to the appropriate coach.
